I felt like doodling middle aged Blue at a point where he no longer gives any fucks yesterday because I was surfing around for references of stuff and seeing a lot of people complaining about how body art “ruins” the bodies it is arted upon and the whole “no bumper stickers on a Ferrari” bullshit and the usual garbage anyone with tattoos is used to hearing. Entitlement to the point where the first google search result you get for someone like Alex Freaking Minsky has people saying things like “A weak attempt at conveying ‘toughness’ and ‘strength’ which clearly doesn’t exist.” and complaining that he’s painful to look at as though you know, what they find attractive should have any bearing on what other people choose to do with their bodies.

Then ruined bodies sort of ended up being the subject of the day all over the place so hey, topical. Kind of.

She is 6 years old.

Most of you wont reblog this, but this girl is beautiful in every way. 

I hope she gets better soon. 

I’m not just saying this because she is sick but I really think she is pretty.

But there’s so much more to her than being pretty???

I assume this girl is receiving treatment for some sort of cancer, which is why her head is shaved.

This girl is battling a life threatening disease and all you people can say is “gosh, she’s pretty!”

Goes to show that women and girls can’t do a DAMNED THING without it relating back to how they measure up to some arbitrary standard of beauty. Goes to show that even though she’s going through more than most adults ever will, all people comment on is how “pretty” she is. She is six years old and we are already reducing her to her physical appearance.

She’s brave. She’s strong. She’s a cancer patient and all you guys care about is how aesthetically pleasing she is to you. How deep, how profound.

Yes, this. How is beauty even relevant? Also agreeing with the whole guilt trip “most won’t reblog this” crap. Stop trying to manipulate people just to receive reblogs and likes. I find that particularly disgusting when people use cancer patients and whatnot, just as an attempt to get noticed. Durrhurr, seems like I sorta kinda am contributing to that, but I’m too bothered not to say anything.
